 It's another army post again. haha. Well, the last 2 weeks was a good break from work, it was full of shit stirring, smelly No. 4, changi village nasi lemak & red tea jelly longan, canteen break, and lotsa catching up with each others' lives. Now that this year's ICT is over, i kinda miss my buddies. (shit.. this sounds so gay but i'm straight. haha) Our next ICT will be in 2009 instead of 2008 cuz they are shifting ICT trainings to Pasir Ris Camp and the facilities there are not ready yet. Good news that most of us have graduated and found jobs with decent pay. The camaraderie and bond is still there. We are still the craziest and most fun platoon and the best in the whole formation. Keep it up, Platoon 5! I'm so glad i didnt miss this year's ICT. =) Farewell, my fellow band of brothers! Gonna miss u guys! See u all in 2009! Ciao!  |

| 2 weeks gone pass so fast. My annual ICT is coming to an end. On one hand, wish it could be longer so that i can hang ard longer with my bunch of buddies. Every year i look forward to ICT to meet these batch of wacky comrades. Makes me dun feel like going back to work. On the other hand, I do not want more tiring outfield missions and sai gang. Well, this year's ICT was an emotional one for all of us cuz it will be the last to be held @ Hendon Camp. Hendon Camp was where we arrived, bonded, sweated, bled, suffered, and grew Against All Odds to become men -- a special breed of men. We arrvied at the gates of "Hell" on 19 Jan 2001, gone thru BMT, BCT, VT, BOT, Brunei, Airborne Course, 72km route march, 2 ATECS, NDP, Balance Sabre, Fireball and finally ORDed on 18 May 2003. All our NS life was spent in this 2nd home called Hendon Camp. Thus, it really pains my heart to leave this home. Next year onwards, our ICT will be held at Pasir Ris Camp -- ulu, unfamiliar, no affection, totally un-commando. Once we leave Hendon Camp, i dunno when will we ever stepped into here again. Thus, in these 2 weeks, whenever i walk ard the camp, i would look ard and try to remember this place i call my 2nd home. Walking in the slight drizzle, looking at the buildings, training facilities, cookhouse, canteen, parade square and the familiar people whom have been there since our NSF days like the cookhouse auntie, gift shop uncle and canteen auntie, I hope to capture this feeling and bottled them in my heart so i can savour this moment in future. Our last hope is to hope that they postpone this shift back 3 more years when we will have RODed. But chances are slim. Goodbye Hendon Camp... We will miss u...  |
