 Tonite, the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza San Siro in Milan will be painted a sea of blue and red and black...  Cuz it's the time of the season again.. It's the Derby della Madonnina - Milan Derby. It's gonna be AC Milan vs Inter Milan, Rossoneri vs Nerazzurri, Red vs Blue. The city will be divided, families divided and friends divided...  No other derbies have so much passion and pride at stake. It's gonna be a cracker! And needless to say... i hope the Rossoneri will walk out victorious! |

| Time now: 4.45am. Milan is thru to the semi-finals of the Champs League!!! I'm too estatic to sleep now. But it was not an easy match. A miracle happened again.. This match against Lyon was of uncanny resemblance to the one agianst Ajax back in 2003. 2003.. Ajax was leading on away goals rule.. Milan is desperate, attacking and attacking..trying to find that winning goal that will bring them to the final... i prayed and prayed and watched with my heart in my mouth.. Every second ticked away.. my heart beated faster... Until 90+3 min... Inzaghi lobbed the keeper and scored the winning goal!!! Unbelievable! and send Milan thru the the final and subsequently mightly Milan won the final against arch-rival Juventus. What a match. What a fright. What a miracle.. 2006.. Lyon was leading on away goals rule.. Milan is desperate, attacking and attacking..trying to find that winning goal that will bring them to the semi-final... i prayed and prayed and watched with my heart in my mouth.. Every second ticked away.. my heart beated faster... Until 88 min, Shevchenko shoots, the ball rebounded off the far post then off the near post! What luck! Luckily, saviour Inzaghi was there to pounce on the rebound and make it 2-1!!! Deja vu?? San Siro erupted!! I shouted and nearly wake everyone up. haha! Still, there was time for Lyon to win.. However, Milan's semi-final ticket was confirmed on 90+3 min when Sheva intercepted a back-pass from a Lyon defender and scored from a tight angle to kill all hopes of Lyon.. 3-1!!!! Unbelievable! Referee blows the whistle and the Rossoneri and San Siro are celebrating a famous victory!! All night, both Inzaghi and Sheva worked hard. And their efforts were paid off with a goal each. Sheva was really unlucky with a goal cleared off the line and a shot off the posts. But all their efforts were rewarded.. and my prayers were answered... What a match.. What a fright.. What a miracle again.. Since both match are so similar.. My prediction: Milan will be Champ League Winners! To heal their heartbreak(and mine too) last year! Forza Rossoneri!!! Yeah!!! Tale of 2 cities: The Blue half of San Siro, Inter out on away goals rule to Villareal... The Red half of San Siro, Milan survive the scare of away goals rule and advance to the semis! |
